A small Sidestep!

As previously mentioned I am taking a little "sidestep" from the current Jon Pay story I am working on. Somehow I have managed to make some headway on it. This is the top half of this one-pager. Am hoping to ink and color this puppy in the very near future. Hope you like it.

I am on a roll...

I say that in danger of bragging and blowing the streak... Oh, well, it's out there... But as I always say, at least I am moving forward!!

Belated Happy New Year

I managed to get some work done over the festive season (in between eating WAY too much turkey...) so somehow page 20 got finished. Someday I will say that about page 46...
I will however take a "break" (because I am spending SO much time on this story as is...) to do a one-page Jon Pay story, written by the talented Doc Monster. Will post some panels as soon as I have them. For now enjoy pg. 20.

My pencil doesn't works!!

Before anyone else points it out; yes, it is inspired by (or of you want to be a little harsher, ripped off from) Janry's Little Spirou. Saw the cover and had my little idea. Plus I just haven't a chance to draw in a while, so a sick-day from work got me an opportunity to see if my pencil still works... it didn't, so I had to use a ballpoint pen...

Snails draw faster...

That being said, here's another half page from my (hobby-project) "Jon Pay: Prizefighters & Knickerbockers". I do like how some of these panels came out. What you think? (All characters © & ™ C. A. Aabø 2009)

Job done!!

I finally finished a free-lance job I have been doing for... well, for WAY too long! It is for a book in the US and I am doing one illustration per chapter. Here is the last one. I like this one. I do not write them, I just draw them!! (Image is © and ™ 2009)

Still here!!

I could complain about being a grown-up and having a job and so on a so forth. Instead I'll just post this Jon Pay sketch VERY inspired by Isaac Sanchez' EL REGRESO DEL HOMBRE PEZ. Anybody know him, please pass on my thanks!!
