We have ink..

Promised to post inks-in-progress, so here you go. I work bottom to top when I ink, to avoid smudging the pencils too much. The next panel is another of those "WHAT was I thinking" panels. Will see if I can have some more ink on it tomorrow... Will keep you posted!

We have digitalization...

A new Digi-Comic Publishing company Oxicomics had their big launch at Norway's biggest Comic Convention Raptus this weekend and one of the books in their catalog is JON PAY!! All their books are available for both iPhones and iPads. At present time only the Norwegian edition is available for download but the English edition IS only a few days away.

(UPDATE, 22.03.12
At present time Oxicomics is restructuring their battle plan. As such, links to my books no longer work and they are no longer available on iTunes. For those of you who did grab a copy while they were there, thank you!)

This has given me a new surge of energy and work has started progressing on "Jon Pay, Prizefighters and Knicker-bockers". Please stay tuned for updates and feel free to nag if I am not posting them fast enough!!

To try to start true to this promise, here is another half that I have been struggling to finish. I blame that last panel... Another one of those that make me go "WHAT WAS I THINKING?!?!?" but I am happy with it now that it is done. I hope you like it too.

About time...

A LONG over-due posting. Been very busy with other work and life in general over the last couple of months. Have however managed to get another page finished. Also, in the very near future there will be some digital news to announce. So enjoy!

Poster

Greetings. My how time flies. Figured my blog needed some color, so here is a poster I created a while back for a show for local artists I participated in. Will do my best to get some more color up here soon. All the bad guys were in "Jon Pay vs. Machine Gun Kelly" and will all make their return in the Jon Pay Xmas story by Doc Monster and myself. I hadn't drawn them since I finished MGK and having a second go at them was a LOT of fun!!

Speaking of re-visiting old characters, these two are some of the first characters created for the JP universe. The were created for a three page dinosaur-story I did at the Kubert school. Whether Laura and Professor Watanose will ever make another appearance remains to be seen. After all the professor got eaten by a dinosaur and Laura got carried away by another one...

I guess it's up to Doc Monster and whatever he can come up with... He writes WAY faster than I can draw...

Easter Sketches

My Easter reading caused more sketching... well, I did find some time for a change. The first one is inspired by a cover by Brian Hurt and the second by an illustration by Tom Percival.

Pin-up finished... Finally...

Here it is!! The finished version. And just so there is no misunderstanding, it was inspired by the current Jon Pay story in the works; "Prizefighters & Knickerbockers" and the cover for Panl Dini and Dustin Nguyen's Batman Private Casebook which can be seen below (and is of course © &™ DC Comics). I had a lot of fun with this one, so to continue the fun I might try to color it at some point.

WIP

Just received my first purchase of comics in a LONG time and got inspired by one of the covers. Off I was on another time-wasting sketching session. But, you know what, I am having fun drawing and that is what is important sometimes. Will post the final version...when it's done...

A small Sidestep!

As previously mentioned I am taking a little "sidestep" from the current Jon Pay story I am working on. Somehow I have managed to make some headway on it. This is the top half of this one-pager. Am hoping to ink and color this puppy in the very near future. Hope you like it.

I am on a roll...

I say that in danger of bragging and blowing the streak... Oh, well, it's out there... But as I always say, at least I am moving forward!!

Belated Happy New Year

I managed to get some work done over the festive season (in between eating WAY too much turkey...) so somehow page 20 got finished. Someday I will say that about page 46...
I will however take a "break" (because I am spending SO much time on this story as is...) to do a one-page Jon Pay story, written by the talented Doc Monster. Will post some panels as soon as I have them. For now enjoy pg. 20.
